Cancellation policies
for Avalanche Courses and Guided Tours
Avalanche Courses
All prices consist of an excursion fee (95% of the total amount) and an administrative fee (5% of the total amount). The following applies depending on the time of the cancellation:
- More than 21 days before: full refund of the excursion fee to your account or as a TSG gift card (the 5% administration fee will not be refunded)
- 21 to 7 days before: 50% refund of the excursion fee to your account or 75% refund of the excursion fee as a TSG gift card
- 7-0 days before: No refund or 25% refund of the excursion fee as a TSG gift card
If we cancel the course because it has too few participants or because of bad weather, TSG will try to reschedule the course. If rescheduling is not available or if the new date does not fit you, you will get a full refund of the excursion fee to your account (the 5% administration fee will not be refunded) or a full refund as a TSG gift card which also includes the 5% administration fee.
Special considerations can be made in case of illness or other serious and unforeseen events. You will get a full refund of the excursion fee, but we will keep the 5% administration fee. Such cancellations require a medical note from your doctor.
Guided Tours
- If you cancel your guided excursion/course 45 days or more before it starts, after paying the full amount, you will receive 95% of the amount paid back on your account. A total of 5% of the total booking will be kept as an administrative fee.
- If you cancel your guided excursion/course 30-45 days before it starts, after paying the full amount, you will receive 50% of the amount paid back on your account or receive a gift card for 75% of the full amount of the registration fee.
- If you cancel your guided excursion/course between 10- 30 days before it starts, after paying the full amount, you will receive 25% of the amount paid back on your account or receive a gift card for 50% of the full amount of the registration fee.
- If you cancel your guided excursion/course less than 10 days before it starts, or if you do not meet the day the excursion starts, you will not receive any money back.
In case of very bad weather or very bad conditions on the planned excursions, we might need to change the excursion plans. We will then do our best to offer another excursion the same day(s). If we cannot offer an alternative excursion, the participant will have the excursion fee paid back, but not the registration fee that is a 5% administration fee on the total booking.
If the trip is canceled or altered due to COVID-19 restrictions or a serious medical issue, TSG will either re-book your trip for the following season at no extra charge or the trip can be canceled by the participants with a 5% administration fee on the total booking. The serious medical issue requires a medical note.
